Entries Sought For Moose Festival Photography Contest

The Moose Festival Photography Contest continues to be a favorite of the annual North Country Moose Festival, held this year August 27-29, 2010, in Colebrook, Columbia, Pittsburg, West Stewartstown, N.H., and Canaan, Vt. This year, a new category, the Youth Division, open to ages 5-12, has been added. Registration forms may be picked up at the North Country Chamber Office at the state rest area on Route 3 in Colebrook, N.H., or by going to www.moosefestival.com. Return the form to the chamber office at PO Box 1, Colebrook, NH 03576. The registration deadline is August 21, 2010.

Categories include wildflowers, birds, wildlife, landscape, buildings, people, still life and garden flowers, pets or farm animals, sunsets or sunrises, and black and white photographs, and the youth division. One photograph per person per class is permitted and entries must be matted, framed and ready to hang. Entries must be dropped off at the Canaan Community Park by 8 a.m., the day of the contest, on August 28, 2010, and picked up by 3 p.m. of that date. Judging will begin at 9 a.m.

The People’s Choice and Judge’s Awards will be a $25 cash prize and ribbons will be awarded to first, second and third place winners. For more information call the chamber office at 603-237-8939 or go online at www.moosefestival.com.

2. Entries must be matted, framed and ready to hang with wire hanger and will not be accepted otherwise!
3. Entries must be dropped off at Canaan Community Park by 8 am on August 28th and picked up by 3 pm that date.
4. Judging will begin at 9 am.
