Dad's Place
|
|
"Dad's Place" was home to my father and his 2
cats and his dogs from 1988 to 2004.
He was a retired Boston and Maine
Railroad man, also a photographer
for many Boston
area fire departments.
He was a civil war buff and an ardent Mason.
We named this guest lodging in his memory.
"Dad's Place" is bright, light,
cherry, upstairs
over the farm library, has one bedroom
with double bed, full bath,
kitchen/living
room with Direct TV,
and limited wireless internet access.
Safe and secure for the single sole-traveler.

The Guest House @ Crabapple Country Cousins |
|
My mother's people were from Nova
Scotia and for her, going "back home"
from Somerville, Ma (where I grew up), to Novie every
summer to visit, return to her roots and to
visit her country cousins was the highlight of her year.
People today imprisoned in city life just don't have
the relatives back in the country to have that
opportunity and and so we saw the need to create
a place and a family to
become your 'Country Cousins."
The Guest House is fully furnished with two bedrooms,
each with private bath
on the upper level, living room,
kitchen on the lower level and its own large
fenced yard.
Big windows, wonderful scenic views. Direct TV, and
limited Internet access. |

May through October Camping Cabins |
|

|
The log cabin is getting old and settling a bit more every year but it is
rustic, adorable and a roof over one's head. No facilities, primitive,
one-room camping. Fireplace and picnic table just outside the door! Old
fashioned outhouse a stone's throw away! Showers are available at the main
house!
|
 |

The Pond Cabin

The Pond Cabin is one small bedroom down by the Pond! With a "double
seater" outhouse close by, we call it our "one room and a bath" facility!
Outside fireplace & picnic table! Primitive camping with a touch of a
class! And in an incredible location! Watch the deer and moose from
your bed! |

CRABAPPLE DOWNS BOARDING FOR PETS |
 |
In 1978 we built a small kennel building housing 12 inside pens, with
doggie doors and individual chain link runs. We had been housing both
humane society stray dogs and privately owned boarding dogs in outside
doghouses!
Over the years the kennel has
grown in size to 30 inside pens with 30 chain link runs, roofed over, weather
protected. It is a heated, comfortable, year-round facility, the safe place for
your pet while you are away.
|
 |
We have been in the pet care business for over 30 years and have gained much
knowledge on pet health, nutrition and the animals' variety of needs.
We are able to give medications if needed, even injections, and each pet
is special to us and treated with individual care. We also have a fully equipped
grooming room and can bathe, clip, and style any breed of dog. We ask that your pet be up to date with vaccinations and do
want to see a printout from your vet showing proof of inoculations.
| |
We also require that the pet is using a topical flea
and tick prevention product. We do not want fleas to come in or fleas to go
home!
Long-term or short-term stays are welcomed.
Visits are welcomed if you are thinking of a trip that
cannot include your canine or feline buddy.
The kennel is located on the way in on our quarter-mile driveway and
away from house and guest lodging. No barking dogs to disturb anyone's sleep! |
