Agenda
Dandelions are one of the most versatile, nutritious, and abundant plants around. On this day we will learn the art of dandelion wine making using an old family recipe. Participants will learn all steps of this lengthy process starting with flower collection and finishing by bottling their own wine. Fun labels will be available to add to the bottles you take home with you.
10:00 am Pick dandelion blossoms to make the wine. Return to shop and sort and clean dandelions and make wine.
12:00 pm after wine is made lunch from dandelions. After lunch go for an herbal walk and do some foraging. Come back to shop, work on your wine and make afternoon snack break and talk about the benefits of dandelions.
Cost of class $100 includes 1  room at the Sportsman's Lodge for one night  Some area attractions include boating, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, moose watching and along the way pick up a cone at Moose Alley Cones!
You will take away 1 gallon of brewing wine that needs to cure
The Haynes Homestead has been in the family for three generations. We are located in Northern New Hampshire on a 400 acre farm. We do a variety of things to stay self-sufficient. Wreaths, fudge, fruits and vegetables in summer and of course my herbal shop year round!
